Protape Black Vinyl Tape: http://amzn.to/2yXeeb9
I like to save a lot of money by buying old fashion aquariums I have a woodgrain color trim. And then what I do is I use this method to change it over to a black trim aquarium and they look a lot nicer. I save a lot of money through the years by doing this because those type of aquariums cost a lot more and you can save a lot of money by buying the old-fashioned style ones.
Basically what you want to do if you want to use some glass cleaner or a degreasing agent to clean the trim around your fish aquarium. And then after that you were going to want to slowly but surely apply the black vinyl tape to the outside of the fish tank trim.
Take your time because it's going to be on your tank like this for a very long time and if you screw it up it's not going to look that great and you wanted to look nice. You can peelback the tape if you screw it up but the more times you peel back to less sticky get so you going to want to make sure that you try to get it right without too many screw ups.
Now you can paint your aquarium stand and whatever accessories go along with your aquarium and it will look a lot nicer as the color black. A lot of people have no problem using woodgrain colored aquariums but I just don't find it to be cosmetically appealing in my household.
Well..after a week of using I can almost say this stuff is not that great...I have not seen any difference since I started using and actually looks like it might have gotten worse..this really sucks, wasted week for nothing..I bought Michael Myers/who is now Freddy...yes Freddy Krueger :-) w some fin rot been using this stuff but no help...I do have some prazipro coming in today....will that work on fin rot also...??????...if not what can I get that will....?????.....and no I don't want almond leaves in my small tanks.
I spent years researching them, breeding them and I have a ton of them still. Your boy definitely doesn't show fin rot, he's quite pretty with the color/pattern. I don't know if pictures are clear enough or not,but I don't know what u looking at....his fin is deteriorating...his tail is not opaque white..its falling apart.
Not falling apart, it would be tattered and in pieces if it were rot. That is a natural VT shape for the caudal and anal fin. You do realize that bettas can and often do change color/pattern, especially when they have the marble gene? A butterfly pattern comes from marbles.
